Spring Cleaning Your Life: Starting Fresh, Setting Boundaries, and Letting Go

Spring has a way of gently (or not so gently) reminding us… it’s time to start over.

Not just with closets or junk drawers, but with our energy, our time, and the people we allow into our lives.

Just like we clear out what no longer fits in our homes, sometimes we have to take a step back and ask…
what no longer fits in me?

Letting Go Isn’t Losing — It’s Making Space

Spring cleaning isn’t always pretty.
Sometimes it looks like:

  • creating distance from relationships that feel heavy

  • saying no without over-explaining

  • choosing peace over history

  • realizing growth can mean outgrowing people

That doesn’t make you cold. It makes you honest.

Boundaries aren’t walls… they’re doors with intention. You get to decide who walks through and how.

Starting Over Can Be Soft

Starting over doesn’t have to be dramatic.
It can be quiet. Intentional. Gentle.

Like opening a window.
Like taking a deep breath.
Like sitting down with a blank canvas and letting yourself begin again.

That’s where creativity comes in.

Creativity as a Reset

Art has this beautiful way of helping us process what we can’t always put into words.

At my next public event with TJ’s Paint Parties, we’re painting a soft spring chickadee perched on a branch 🌸
A little symbol of renewal, lightness, and beginning again.

Because sometimes starting over looks like:

  • slowing down

  • creating something just for you

  • reconnecting with joy in a simple way

No pressure. No expectations. Just you, a brush, and a moment to breathe.

You’re Allowed to Choose Yourself

If this season is asking you to reset, release, or rebuild… listen to that.

You’re allowed to outgrow what once felt right.
You’re allowed to protect your peace.
You’re allowed to begin again as many times as you need.

And if you want a space to do that gently, creatively, and surrounded by good energy…
I’ve got a seat for you 💛
